From January to April this year, GAC MOTOR sold 163,000 cars, up 65.1% from a year earlier, with growth rate continuing to lead Chinese auto market. It is worth pointing out that GS8 achieved sales volume of over 10,000 units for two consecutive months, creating a new record of Chinese high-end brands.
In terms of quality and innovation, GAC MOTOR has topped other Chinese brands for 4 years in a row according to the Initial Quality Study (IQS) report of J.D.POWER. Meanwhile, GAC MOTOR ranked 5th in the whole industry last year, realizing quality and high-speed development with an average compound annual growth rate of over 85% for the sixth year running. In 2016, 380,000 cars were sold, a year-on-year increase of 96%, making a historic breakthrough of Chinese brands and manifesting profound foundation and powerful strength of GAC MOTOR in high-end and international brand.
In recent years, GAC MOTOR has showed the world its strength in constantly building a first-rate Chinese brand by continually quickening its international journey. At the beginning of 2017, GAC MOTOR participated in the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) for the third time and became the first Chinese brand entering the showroom of NAIAS with a history of 110 years. GS7 made a global debut and received the “Impressive Worldwide Debut: GS7 SUV” from Forbes and “A New Generation Blockbuster SUV” from The New York Times, showing the world the glamour and strength of China’s high-end manufacturing.
In Auto Shanghai 2017, GAC MOTOR inked cooperation agreements with world-leading parts enterprises, such as DENSO, Continental AG, Aisin Seiki and Valeo, so as to build GAC MOTOR strategic alliance, thus creating a more competitive global supply chain system and providing consumers with high-quality products beyond expectations.
